The revalidation of a Flight Instructor (FI(A), IRI(A)) certificate in accordance with FCL.940.FI(a) is subject to the fulfilment of at least two of the following conditions

  1. In the case of FI(A) and (H) certificates, at least 50 hours of flight instruction in the appropriate aircraft category as an FI, TRI, CRI, IRI, MI or as an examiner during the period of validity of the certificate. If privileges to provide instrument rating instruction are to be extended, 10 of those hours shall be instrument rating flight instruction and shall have been completed within the 12 months prior to the expiry of the FI certificate;
  2. Attend an instructor refresher seminar during the validity of the FI certificate;
  3. Pass a proficiency assessment in accordance with FCL.935 within 12 months before the expiry of the FI certificate.

The Instructor Refresher Seminar offered by our company is divided into two days, during which the lecturers will inform you in an interactive way about the following topics

  1. Changes to the ATC and aviation regulations;
  2. Significant meteorological phenomena;
  3. Fatigue of aviation personnel;
  4. Analysis of CAA accidents;
  5. Teaching and self-education, teaching techniques, role of the instructor;
  6. Instrument flying instruction and aeronautical arts;
  7. Standardisation of records and maintenance of training documentation.

The whole seminar is concluded with a test and a certificate of completion of the instructor refresher seminar.
