NIGHT(A)

The NIGHT rating allows the holder to fly at night in VFR conditions.

Entry requirements

Theoretical part

The theoretical part of the NIGHT rating consists of 14 hours of classes. The student is introduced to the specifications of night flight.

The practical part

It consists of 5 hours and 30 minutes of practical training. The first hour and a half is a practice of night piloting and a series of 15 circuits at Ostrava International Airport. Then the student is tested on simple piloting and circuit flying. This is followed by an hour of solo circuit flying and then solo practice of simple piloting. The last part of the training consists of two hours of navigation flights. Training usually lasts 2-3 nights.
