Flight training

IR/SE(A)

The instrument rating is intended for those wishing to fly under IFR conditions which entitles them to fly in IMC meteorological conditions. The objective is to prepare the student to properly operate instruments with specific piloting requirements.

Entry requirements

Theoretical part

The theoretical part may be recognised by completion of the ATPL theory or IR theory consisting of 150 theoretical hours

Practical part

Practical training shall consist of 40 hours of instrument time in training, of which a maximum of 25 hours may be completed in an FFS or FNPT II. The student is familiarised with radio navigation, also with flying in IMC conditions without visibility from the cockpit.
